The State Championship weekend was a fantastic one for the Grumpy’s/LGR team.
The team got off to a great start on Saturday with our first ever State Championship in the Time Trial courtesy of Joe Johnson!
Another highlight for the team at Saturdays State Championship Time Trial was Spencer Haugh obtaining a top 10 with an impressive 8th place performance.
On Sunday, it was the MN State Criterium Championships. While we didn’t walk away with a State Championship we did walk away withsome very respectable results for a first year team. The highest placed finisher was Mark Byrnes with a 4th place. Tuffy doubled up on the day with two 7th places.
In the cat3 event earlier in the day, Tim Hayes and Matt Allen, were active in the pack throughout the race and a last lap attack from Tim Hayes put a scare into the field. “The Little Guy” would finish best in that race, with a 7th place finish against one of the stronger fields in recent memory.
