Another press spotlight!

Aug 24, 2007 in Uncategorized

It’s hard not to be the apple of the media’s eye when you are so awesome.

This time it’s our title sponsor, Grumpy’s!

Our good friend Pat, who is very responsible for the LGR Team happening is highlighted in the Star Tribune.

Read it here.

Pat sneaks his bike into the photo, can you blame him?

Damn, we love our sponsors!

Cool like that.

LGR was hard at work all day, to ensure that the Campus Crit went off without a hitch.

It did, and we were even able to find a little time to enjoy ourselves!

Thanks to everyone that came out and supported the race, we look forward to promoting it next year!

We’ll see you at the LGRCX Cyclocross race in November, check the events page!

Campus Crit Update.

Aug 02, 2007 in Uncategorized

We have cleared with the U of M that the race is still going to happen as scheduled.

Due to recent events and road closures surrounding the collapse of the 35W bridge, we understand that there is a cause for concern, but as far as the racing is concerned we have a green light.

We are anticipating higher volumes of traffic and pedestrians in the area, and you should plan ahead for possible traffic delays.

We are encouraging anyone who can to ride their bike to the event, we are providing full wheel and bike support courtesy of On Support, so you can leave the spare parts at home.

For drivers our best suggestions are as follows;

MnDot is detouring traffic from 35w onto Hwy 280. Taking the University Avenue exit West to the 4th street ramp will be the best option for getting to the race.

However, if you are coming from the Northeast Minneapolis Suburbs, We suggest Central Ave (65) and University Ave (47) as alternatives to 35.

From the South metro follow 35 to 94 west and get off at the Huron Blvd. exit.

Please check the MnDot site and Google Maps for best routes.
